Some of you know that I attended my training as a yoga teacher in Nepal. I liked my school so much that I decided to make the training more accessible for you.

Commonly called Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in English, the first level is to follow 200hours of course in 1 months.

Intensive training and real life experience, you will learn many things during this month like no other. Be it the philosophy of yoga, anatomy, pranayamas (breathing exercises), meditation and of course asanas (sports part of yoga). You will come out more fit than ever, and most of all, ready to teach.

Indeed, during the training, you will learn to give a yoga class from beginning to end and you will be trained to teach your knowledge.

But then, why Nepal?

  • Authentic and traditional style
  • No mass tourism
  • Secure country for solo travelers
  • The mountains of Himalayas are very close (for those who love adventure)

And why this school?

The school is based in the Kathmandu Valley, far from the city center. The view of the school is breathtaking, it is the ideal place for those (and those) who wish to be connected to nature.

The school has existed for more than 10 years and the teachers are local, who practice for a very long time.

The degree you will receive is awarded by the Yoga Alliance (a world-renowned organization, recognized for issuing quality certificates.) You can choose between the Yoga Alliance USA or Yoga Alliance Australia certificate, because the school has both (which represents a real guarantee of quality)

Detail :

The courses are in English.
At the end of the training you will be able to choose if you prefer to have the certificate Yoga Alliance USA or Australian.

Dates and best time to leave:
The training takes place every 15 of the month. It usually lasts 28 days.

Nepal enjoys a dry season from October to May, where temperatures can reach more than 30 ° C in Kathmandu. This is the ideal season for those who want to do a trek on the mount of the Himalayas. Nevertheless, this means that this is the time when there are the most tourists.

The wet season (also called the rainy season) is from June to September. I chose to go during the month of July - August (in the middle of the rainy season), and it was raining only at night. The temperature was nice. The advantage in these months is that there are very few people going to Nepal. We were only 5 to follow yoga training during the July-August session, and during the August-September session, there were only 4 students. Ideal to have a very personalized follow-up.

The place :

The bedrooms:

The rooms consist of two single beds. It's up to you to choose whether you share your room with another student or if you prefer a double room. The rooms are not mixed!

Arrival conditions:

You can go to school on day J. You will be informed beforehand.

How to get there :

The school is easily accessible by taxi, which have an extremely affordable price in Nepal.

Useful information

Rate is $ 1400, this includes:

Meals, drinks, shared room, classes, 2 massages and Yoga Alliance certificate.

Yes, there is wifi in the school. Generally it works well but sometimes it is cut a few hours. If you still want to be connected, I recommend buying a Nepalese SIM card before going to school. No worries, it's not expensive.

No need to take your yoga mat, you can use those of the school. Take a water bottle, anti mosquito (depending on the season) and your good mood.

Show

It takes a Visa to stay in Nepal, it is paid on site at the airport.

Nourriture

All meals are homemade, with fresh local products and with love. The meals are all vegetarian.

If you have a special diet, people working in the kitchen will take good care of you. No worries, they are used to it.

The philosophy :

Nestled in the middle of the hill, and surrounded by nature, the goal of the school is to train students to become quality yoga teachers.
The style is traditional and authentic (Sanatasana: which includes Hatha and Ashtanga, from Patanjali). Simply put, you will be specialized in Hatha.

Teachers will teach you asanas, but also pranayamas, mantras, rituals of purification, a little meditation but also the philosophy of yoga.
Indeed, the philosophy of yoga and its origin will be key topics, to really understand what "being a yogi" means.
